Welcome to
Willowsprings Arabians, home to beautiful Arabian and
Half--Arabian horses. Willowsprings Arabians is nestled on a
one hundred acre farm just outside of Canada's capital city
of Ottawa. With its beautiful mixture of forest and meadow,
it is an ideal setting to raise strong, athletic, and
beautiful Arabian horses. The Willowsprings herd is lovingly
spoiled in their luxurious walk-out stalls, ample pastures,
and sprawling turn-outs. Each member of the herd is
spoiled & loved by owners Kerry and Eveline Kipping.
"We
have been quietly breeding and raising beautiful, athletic
Arabian show horses since 1999, that are not
only show horses but treasured family members as well",
says owners Kerry and Eveline Kipping. The Willowsprings
horses have proven themselves in and out of the show ring,
down the trails and in the hearts of the many visitors
to our farm. "Our goal is quality, athletic Arabian
& Half-Arabian Horses, not quantity ! Good
minded Arabians that are not only lookers, but ' doers '
as well", says the Kippings.
Willowsprings
Arabians stands two of the most talked about breeding
stallions in Canada and the Northern United States.-
The first stallion,
Ambassador
Jamaal sp, is sired by US Reserve National Champion
Futurity Stallion, Amurath Baikal (*Bask+ x *Sanacht) and
out of the champion producing mare, Alia Jamaal (*Ali Jamaal
x Shahdorable, ex. Bey Shah+ x TW Forteyna)). Ambassador
Jamaal, who was bred by the Melody Oak Arabians, is already
a many time Halter and Country Pleasure Driving Champion and
combines one of the most elite pedigree's the breed has to
offer. Despite his pedigree and outstanding physical
attributes - an impressive 15.2 hands, he offers a refined
head, a long, arched neck set on high, lofty tail carriage,
and long, straight legs, among other attributes, is the
cornerstone of Willowsprings Arabians breeding program.
Our most recent
addition to Willowsprings Arabians Stallion roster (there's
more to come) was that of the stunning Padrons Psyche son, Psyitation
who we purchased from Catherine Precht of Lester Prairie,
Minnesota. Psyitation is out of the lovely champion halter
mare, Alada Romance (Alada Baskin (*Aladdinn) x Gamarief).
Padrons Psyche, the youngest stallion ever, to be Reserve
National Champion at the age of three, and the youngest sire
ever, to be a leading sire of champions has sired sons and
daughters who have garnered and unbelievable show record of
over 176 National honors. Psyche is truly unique in that he
sires great breeding stallions. Alada Baskin, the sire of
Alada Romance, is a two-time United States Reserve National
Champion Stallion and is the sire of Multiple National
Champions in Halter and Performance. Alada Romance is the
full sister of multiple National winning, and Scottsdale
Champion, Alada Baskin I, himself a producer of multiple
champions. Psyitation not only was the 2000 Region 11 Top 5
(3rd on the Cards!) Yearling Sweepstakes Colt, Shown by Mr.
Mike Neal of Geneva Arabians but, also has been a many time
Western Pleasure Junior Horse Champion (in limited showing)
as well as an open Western Pleasure Champion - proving form
to function is feasible!
Both
these fine individuals carry the blood of the most
influential Arabians that have produced so well for our
breed. Willowsprings Arabians has become one of the premier
Arabian horse farms in Canada raising show quality foals and
offering sale horses to the discriminating showmen/women who
want to win. We focus on breeding quality athletic foals
that are pretty for halter and can later show performance.
Beyond
these pages you will find, a collection of fine Arabian and
Half-Arabian horses, representing the most sought after
pedigree's in the Arabian Horse World today.
A
collection of photographs, some of which were taken by
Suzanne Winch of SKW Photography, show successes we have had
as well as the farm life here at Willowsprings. We are
very thankful that we are able to be the caretakers of these
fine individuals and are blessed with their beauty day in
and day out. Horses are a love, Arabians are a passion!
If you are ever in the area, please feel free to call and
drop by for a visit. We always love talking horses,
especially the Arabian!
